Audrey Tautou and Nathalie Baye star in this romantic French comedy. Small-town hairdresser Emilie (Tautou) is desperate to help her depressed and affection-starved mother Maddy (Nathalie Baye) get over her divorce from Emilie's father. To this end, she decides to pass on to her mother a passionate love letter addressed to herself from her lovelorn salon handyman, Jean (Sami Bouajila). All kinds of misunderstandings ensue as Jean finds himself caught up in a showdown between mother and daughter, both of whom end up vying for his attentions.
